About MTLC
The Eeyou/Eenou Media & Tech Literacy Camp is a nonprofit organization focused on empowering individuals and communities with the knowledge and skills to navigate the digital landscape confidently and safely.
We offer workshops for people in all walks of life, providing our services in schools, businesses, and events. We also provide online services for individuals seeking to enhance their media and technology literacy.
Why We Do It
The Canadian Fraud Center released an annual report in 2022 that had a record high in fraud related losses, and they expressed they saw no sign of change. But, here at EEMTLC, we believe in change. We believe that the use of technology and being informed goes hand in hand. An informed and prepared user is a protected one. While the world goes more and more digital, so are the things we need to look out for. MLT strives to continue providing programs and materials to adapt to the changing space.
Not only do we provide Informative courses based around ensuring safe and informed use for adults, we also provide age appropriate courses so that youth can be equipped with the tools and habits to elevate their experience in a digital landscape!
How We Do It
Our teams set up whereever we are called to so that we may provide interactive workshops to make receiving skills and information effective. Participants will be welcomed into an judgement free zone where we explore topics such as :
